www.BikerBabesRule.com originated in Branson, MO as an idea. The longer I thought about my idea the better I liked it. I developed a passion for riding motorcycles as it seemed so natural cause my girls and I had ridden horses a few years back in Oregon. We had a small ranch and raised a few cows and had our horses. I guess instead of being a soccer mom I cleaned out horse stalls and would trailer the girls to lessons and horseshows. I always loved the feel of wind in my face. To me, riding motorcycles and horses go right together. I love leather as well, love the smell of it, love to wear it, love to sit on it, love all that tac and now love all those saddle bags, chaps and motorcycle jackets, etc., etc. The idea occurred to me . . . why not sell it????
There are so many beautiful places in Missouri to ride motorcycles, horses, off road vehicles, etc. I especially like going down into Arkansas and Louisiana as well. I plan on highlighting you gals and your adventures with your motorcycles, events, camping and hiking expeditions or anything else you would like to submit to my website. Please feel free to interact as I think it makes it a lot more interesting that way.
A little history. One of the reasons I am in Branson, MO is because my Grandmother was born in Boyler's Mill, MO . . . very close to Cole Camp. "The community was to suffer terribly during the remaining four years of war with the terrorism of the bushwhackers and guerrillas, and the armies marching back and forth through the area." I remember my Grandmother talking about the bushwhackers burning and shooting while she was hiding in the cornfield. "This created tensions and hatred that lasted many years after the war ended in what became a divided town. Cole Camp, being at the hub of four major roads at that time, was to become the scene of one of the first battles of the Civil War, June 19, 1861." Boyler's Mill is right on the Lewis & Clark Trail and the mill was a stage coach stop and post office was in the bottom portion of the mill. There were little cabins where anyone that came in on the stage coach could stay over. Silver Dollar City later took the wheel from Boyler's Mill and put it on one of the two mills at their amusement park. I am planning on going over there one of these days and check it out.
Below you will see a pictures of Boyler's Mill as it looks today. Boyler's Mill is just a few miles away from Cole Camp and both towns are in Benton County.
