I have to say I never expected that I would drop my
bike, but I did. I just arrived back at work from getting new saddle
bags put on my bike. As I was getting off of my bike my boot got stuck
on the new saddle bag and of course I ended up dropping my bike. I was
completely embarrassed considering I work with a bunch of men who
happened to be outside at the time. I even had to ask them to help me
pick up my 650lb motorcycle. After they gave me my new nick-name,
crash, I spent the rest of that afternoon looking for ways to redeem
myself. Now I can truly say I know how to pick up my bike without help
from anyone.
I spent over an hour looking for ways to pick up a
dropped motorcycle and finally came across an amazing website. The lady
who created the website, Skert, is an amazing individual. She has
dedicated her website to the fight against breast cancer and helping
individuals learn how to pick up their dropped motorcycle. She posted
on her website a step by step guide on how to pick up your motorcycle
and even has a short video of her in action. After all if a 5'3" 118lb
woman can pick up a 600lb motorcycle, a 5'6" bigger gal like myself
could pick one up as well.
I immediately went outside, slowly
laid my bike down and practiced her steps. I was amazed. Within 30
seconds I had my motorcycle back on two wheels.
